Thanks for these comments! Of course, we liked the "balls of steel" part best hehhe ;P A lot of people really have no idea how much work it is to make a feature film, especially if you don't have a budget. That's why I recommend for every real movie enthusiast to try it, it's an endeavour that really widens your horizon in many ways! And with todays technology, there is no excuse to chicken out ;D
The nudity has been "censored" in the free version only because some platforms don't allow it, for example YouTube. All versions you get from donations or our website are "uncut". Other than that, the film IS a "director's cut" more than anything else, after all there was no studio to spoil the director's intentions ;D Some scenes have been cut for pacing reasons and can be seen as bonus materials - but they probably won't ever appear integrated in a version of the film because they just didn't work too well ^_^
Cool, nice work :D
I have to say in Mala Ghedias defense that we asked her to play it in "bollywood" style, as we felt this would make the film even more reminiscent of those cheap 70s movies we were trying to emulate. So probably we didn't always get the balance right, due to our low directing experience... fortunately, we learned a lot in that department making Snowblind :D Thanks for the comments!
Actually the story IS taken directly from an old "cowboy movie", about 30% of the dialogue comes from the 1978 film "China 9, Liberty 37" which is public domain today and can be watched freely on the web (YouTube for example). BTW Erik Hansen has insistently demanded to be in our next film as well - so in case we'll get the chance to make a new movie, you can be sure of his involvement :D
Great, we can definitely use the support :D
Sorry about the mail, we're getting kind of flooded but still we try to answer every single on of them - yours must've slipped through! So thanks for writing up these good comments and yeah, putting a CC logo on the box is a good idea. I think we'll put it on the back though cause we hate all these stickers that clutter the artwork. In Germany this is particularly bad cause the age rating stickers are HUGE - like double the size from everywhere else >_
We did it the "learning by doing" way, making a couple shorts first and also another feature-length film... so we built up skills and crew step by step - there is always room for improvement ;D
