    Britain wasn't invaded as Hitler was planning to go into Soviet Russia and not only would it be impossible to occupy both Britain and potentially Soviet Russia too but Hitler himself held hope that Britain would actually join him in attacking Soviet Russia. Which if it weren't for the efforts of the British Jewish, Communist, Anarchist and other left wing groups it could have potentially gone ahead (yes, it can happen here).

    Read about the Battle of Cable Street and for future reference if anyone "saved our asses in WW2" it was probably the Red Army.
