A unique and personal insight into how an artist can continue to make-work about a completely visual world after he has gone totally blind. During the film Sargy Mann goes from being registered blind, with only very peripheral vision in one eye, to total blindness, and not only continues to paint but also find new ways to experience the world in a way that feeds his visual imagination. The film is both about an artist overcoming a seemingly insurmountable obstacle and about how much visual perception is the work of the brain and not just the eyes.
